Mladen Horvat, MD, specialist in anesthesiology and resuscitation, graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Rijeka in 1974.
He passed his specialist exam in anesthesiology and resuscitation in 1981, receiving the Bettini Award for the best work in anesthesiology.

He is a long-standing member of prestigious associations such as the Croatian Society of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care (HDAIL), the Croatian Acupuncture Association (CAA-E), and the European Society of Anaesthesiology (ESA).
