Mladen Horvat, MD, specialist in anesthesiology and resuscitation, graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Rijeka in 1974.
He passed his specialist exam in anesthesiology and resuscitation in 1981, receiving the Bettini Award for the best work in anesthesiology.

Education

He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Rijeka in 1974 and passed the specialist exam in anesthesiology and resuscitation in 1981, receiving the Bettini Award for the best work in anesthesiology.

Professional development

From 1992 to 1995, he worked as Head of the Intensive Care Unit at KBC Rijeka.
From 2000 to 2014, he served as Head of the Anesthesia Department.

Additional training

He continued his training at universities in Amsterdam, London, Hirosaki, and Hiroshima. He is a long-standing member of prestigious associations such as the Croatian Society of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care (HDAIL), the Croatian Acupuncture Association (CAA-E), and the European Society of Anaesthesiology (ESA).
